Software AG buys complex-event processing technology from Progress - lightreand1997
Software Silver is building down its portfolio of CEP (complex-event processing) package with the acquisition of Apama from Progress Software, in the intermediate CEP-related flock this week. Terms of the deal, which was announced Thursday, were not disclosed.
Apama and other CEP products ingest and break down streams of data, superficial for patterns and correlations, and are used wide in areas such every bit fiscal trading and fraud detective work.
Software AG already had a CEP product titled WebMethods Business Events.Only it plans to continue selling Apama nether the Saame name due to its "high brand realization," according to a statement.
